Sherelle Knight

Sherelle Knight has a passion for continuous learning which is evident to her attaining two degrees and looking to further her studies in the future. She has a degree in commerce and early childhood teaching. He love and passion for teaching and learning has filtered into everything she does at Alkira.

She has been in the disability sector for 12 years now and has worked with clients with both challenging behaviours and clients who require complex medical support. She approaches all clients with the same outcome in mind. To listen to their needs and wants and empowering every individual to help them to achieve their goals.

Founder & Managing Director

Rosemary Hill

Rosemary is the founder and CEO of Alkira Care Services. As a Registered Nurse and Midwife Rosemary commenced her career in acute hospital settings. Discovering a passion for supporting individuals with diverse abilities and complex health needs Rosemary has for the past 25 years led and managed a team supporting children and families within a High Needs Unit, as they transition from hospital to home. Rosemary can easily manage complex social dynamics and will advocate for all individuals to attain their personal choices.

A strong leader, solid mentor Rosemary strives to build and maintain a dynamic and innovative culture of listening, learning and empowering. Believing that this offers a privileged insight in collaborating with individuals to achieve their hopes and dreams. A Mother of three Rosemary takes great delight in spending time with her grandchildren. She loves being around the water and thoroughly enjoys exploring our beautiful landscape.

Diane Johnson

Diane’s career in the disability sector commenced while she was still at High School. Diane spent her weekends and school holidays employed as a Play/Therapy Assistant to children and young people with a variety of disabilities and challenges. Taking on an integral role in the planning of school holiday programmes Diane experienced great satisfaction in finding innovative and stimulating activities and this has given her a sound foundation for identifying opportunities in supporting people to access their local communities. ”Get staff and clients with similar interests and passions together and you invariably have a winning combination” says Diane. Diane manages a team of Alkira support staff ensuring all their HR needs are met and that the schedules of supports are consistently covered.

The ability to think on her feet, be flexible and agile in her responses to both client and staff needs is a challenge that keeps Diane fully occupied. She has a keen sense for Occupational Health and Safety and ensure the appropriate safe guards are in place for the people she supports both at our homes in South Lake and throughout our community based services. Diane forges strong and loyal friendships is fun loving and has a real sunny side up view on life.
